The heavy equipment was back out and the ground for our house has been leveled. This ground is HARD. That will work in our favor for:
- a good foundation
- being able to park our heavy RV on the lot

The RV and the Jeep are now at the lot, out of the way on the front edge of the level area.
The surveyors were back out and stakes have been placed to mark the corners of the house and garage.

Installation of the utilities have started!

The red pedestal holds the temporary electric service. It still needs to be inspected before it can be used. Our hope is that our 125 foot length of electric cords will get us 30 amp power over to the RV, especially as the weather gets warmer and warmer. A peek at the weather for this weekend shows a high of 96. Yes, it’s a dry heat, but even that has its limits. If the cords won’t reach, we’ll move the RV closer somehow.

We are on the schedule to have the “first forms” started this week or next (probably next). Those are the forms for the concrete foundation. After that comes the plumbing rough-in.

That is where we currently stand. We’ll do another post when there is more progress.
